I’m the opposite for the most part. My spoken French is fine, my written however is a different story. I learned to speak French before I wrote it so I have to say it out loud sometimes to make sure my writing makes sense.
I really have no excuse since I went to school in Fench until my final years in IB.
btw, my French sucks! I could have learned it correctly when I was younger but the facts that I hated being moved to France and forced learning a new language didn’t process well with me… I’m great conversationally, writing however, blah. I’ll improve.
