Do you ever suddenly remember something from your childhood that you didn’t understand at the time, something that still doesn’t make sense when you think about it?
My mother had an issue with the way that I pronounced argyle socks if I remember correctly. She probably thought I had said something else but I’ve never forgotten the look on her face or her tone when she admonished me. .
My Catholic mother had some sort of issue with the song ‘Amazing Grace’. I got the impression, when I was little, that something in the lyrics was offensive, heretical. For the life of me I can’t figure out what in that song goes against Catholic orthodoxy. It’s just a weird memory that comes up whenever I hear or think of that song. I guess I could ask her.

I enjoy rich text evernote checklists, hefeweizen, the colour purple (the actual colour, and not the movie or book), debbie downerism, change purses, and stopping to get coffee even though I'm already mad late for work.
