Why the Gym sucks during busy hours.

Now that school is out of session for the summer and a lot of people are getting laid off from their jobs, it seems like the Gym is the new hot-spot. To work out and live a healthier lifestyle? No. Seems the Gym is a new place for social interaction. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, here is a list of people you don’t want to run into at the gym, but do anyways during those busy hours between 4pm - 8pm:

  • Old “friends”
    • As much as I like running into my old friends or aquaintances, I don’t realize how much time I waste talking or listening waiting for the other person to stop yapping. We would catch up, they’d say “Hey! Give me your number, we’ll catch up some more!” but they never end up calling and it’s another time wasted when you run into them again.
  • The fashionista
    • Girls that come to the gym with their makeup and hair done should just run into a wall and go home. They are usually the ones who dance in front of the mirror in the aerobics room, go on the bike for a few minutes watching TV and trying to flirt with the guys in the weight rooms asking for some ‘training advice.’ They come thinking they can lose more calories looking at themselves in the mirror at the Gym than they would doing so at home. Don’t come to the Gym all cute making me feel Fugly.
  • Screaming Hulk
    • The big scary guys that lift the biggest amount of weight screaming at themselves in the mirrors :( Scary.
  • Creepy man that so happens to be around everytime there is a yoga class in session
    • Oh you know what I’m talking about.
  • Someone cute
    • The last place I’d ever want anyone cute to see me at is at the Gym… Unless they got a thing for sweaty women - then yeah, don’t talk to me.
  • Unwanted running buddy (not during busy hours)
    • There are at least 25 treadmills in a row. WHY DO YOU HAVE TO PICK THE ONE RIGHT NEXT TO ME?!?
  • That ONE smelly guy.

Does anyone else have this problem? Ugh.

yes, yes, yes!

The unwanted running buddy is probably my biggest pet peeve. As for the makeup thing, sometimes I have makeup on when I go to the gym, but it’s because I’m too lazy to wash it off from the day. I don’t put it on before I go there.

I enjoy rich text evernote checklists, hefeweizen, the colour purple (the actual colour, and not the movie or book), debbie downerism, change purses, and stopping to get coffee even though I'm already mad late for work.
