Panic At The Disco - Do You Know What I’m Seeing?

So I finally heard the new Panic CD “Pretty. Odd.” while at work today (which came out March 28th). I have to admit, it’s pretty good! It definitely sounds a bit more mature from what we heard on their debut album, A Fever You Can’t Sweat Out. They are definitely channeling their inner Beatle…

This particular song caught my attention while I was doing some work today, and forced me to stop what I was doing and just. listen. The chorus is so catchy and melodic, and the strings give the song a certain richness. The song gradually builds its instrumentation, keeping things interesting and complex without making their music too busy and hard to follow.

Other favorite tracks include- That Green Gentlemen (Things Have Changed), When The Day Met The Night, and She Had The World (which has harpsichord and strings, etc. Absolutely beautiful!) You don’t have to be a diehard fan to know when something sounds good.

Enjoy!

I had always written them off as one of those bands until my roommate sat me down and forced me to listen to their whole album. A little on the repetitive side, at least their first effort was, but throughly listenable. Good work tunes for sure because they just blended into the background.

I enjoy rich text evernote checklists, hefeweizen, the colour purple (the actual colour, and not the movie or book), debbie downerism, change purses, and stopping to get coffee even though I'm already mad late for work.
