I met someone like this once, and I couldn’t quite put my finger on what was so off-putting about him. Turns out he’s just a really sincere person, perhaps over-enthusiatically so, but sincere nonetheless. I felt like a total dickbag for initially castigating him. maryrambin: I’m fucking fed up. Let me offer some insight into the real Julia Allison for you: I’m sure it seems like Julia Allison is a persona not a real person. NOT TRUE! Julia Allison has made a career out of enjoying life to the fullest, writing about it, and exposing her emotions for the purpose of giving her audience a real perspective on HER life. Let’s consider who else has the balls to do this…it’s certainly not anyone in the blogosphere, where the writers are afraid to actually be accountable for their opinions and therefore hide behind a blog. Julia is one of the most positive and motivated people I know. Many people exist feeling constant pressure and are burdened by life. Julia exists in that same world, but turns all the crap on it’s head by investigating the source of pain and then navigating a way out. And she offers her insight to you in hope it might help you in some way. Julia is actually excited about life. She finds the entertainment in every situation. Very rarely will you ever see her in a bad mood. Often a little too loud and aggressively social, Julia has a difficult time containing her enthusiasm. And sometimes it makes people uncomfortable. People aren’t sure how to handle all of the positive energy she brings to even a simple conversation. It’s really unfortunate because she ALWAYS has EVERYONE’S best interest at heart. If she meets someone she knows she can help in any way, she will selflessly offer her assistance because she genuinely wants to help. Julia is fucking smart. You can see it in her writing. She really would have made an amazing lawyer because her arguments are always accurate and perfectly constructed. I hate fighting with her. Now, I realize most of you don’t have the privilege to actually know Julia. I am blessed to have her in my life as a friend and cheerleader for all of my endeavors. She’s inspiring; she makes me want more from life; she pulls out the best in me. Behind the cameras, under the makeup, when the computer is turned off, Julia is a real person. Let’s remember that. Those of us who adore her and her blog are constantly demanding more, and those of you who hate her are constantly smacking her in the face. That’s a lot to deal with.

I enjoy rich text evernote checklists, hefeweizen, the colour purple (the actual colour, and not the movie or book), debbie downerism, change purses, and stopping to get coffee even though I'm already mad late for work.
