Glossy Box - July 2012
This one took an extraordinarily long time to reach me due to a combination of my apartment’s absurdly deceptive security entrance and the past long weekend.
Content-wise, still happy with Glossy, haven’t considered cancelling my subscription just yet.
Products:
1. Zoya Nail Polish in Carly, $8 - it’s like a vampy raspberry. Definitely not a colour I would have paid for - I don’t do a lot of darker reds/pinks on my hands, I prefer neons and corals, tbh. But Zoya’s formula is good, and I could see myself using it on my toes (or pairing it with a matte top coat on my fingers if I got desperate).
This sample was a full size.
2. Alessandro International Pedix Heel Rescue Balm, $20 for 100mL. It’s thick and minty, but not greasy. I have crazy dry feet, and I exfoliate all the time with varying results. I usually need an intense lotion to keep my feet in check. I’ll use this, but I couldn’t see myself buying it at full price unless I got a coupon.
3. John Freida Frizz-Ease Xtra Strength Serum, $15 for 50 mL. I used this before, or something from the line. It works as advertised, but I remember it being sticky. Might save this for the winter months, since my hair is in pretty good shape these days.
This sample was a full size.
4. Eucerin Calming Crème, $12 for 200 mL. It’s lotion - not much to get excited about here, other than the fact that this sample was a good size for tossing in your purse, and that it came with a coupon. I’m perfectly happy with my current lotion, a $6 bottle of Vaseline’s Cocoa Butter body lotion.
5. Dove Softening Crème Body Wash, $6 for 200 ml. I’m currently swimming in body wash - I’ve got at least five bottles in varying stages of emptiness. That being said, you can never have too much. It could be terrible, and I would probably still use it eventually.
This sample was a full size.
6. BeautySoClean Sanitizing Wipes, $13 for 48 wipes. I am not the sort of person that’s at all concerned about the amount of bacteria on makeup.
I am however, curious about the sort of person for whom food particle debris on their makeup is a legit problem.
“These convenient cosmetic sanitizer wipes are effective for sanitizing makeup that accumulates visible debris like dust, lint, and food particles”.
Uh, ok.

WHAT IS THIS MAGIC. Also, I’m pretty sure that ‘food particle debris’ line is for folks like me. :P
