petit fantôme - Yallah
The solo work of Frenchman and Bordeaux resident Pierre Loustaunau surprised me. Each of the songs on his new record seem to be written as perfectly composed amuse-bouche - bite-sized nuggets, arranged just so. They’re sugary and substantive, but delicate enough to refrain from over-sweetening. This is the lead track, but don’t miss them all, really not a sour one in the bunch.
